We are excited about our upcoming sewing class (Saturdays, Nov. 9 & 16). Register as soon as possible, so we can prepare for the class. Below you will find some instructions from Ms. Theresa, the instructor. Please make sure you are prepared for the class with the materials she has listed below, along with your sewing machine.
The cost of the 2-day course is only $50!
Encourage your family and friends to join us!
Message via Theresa Sterling, Instructor:
Participants will need to purchase the pattern and material for either the children’s or the adult’s (unisex) apron.
They must also pre-wash and dry the fabric (just as they will normally wash it after using the finished apron) and press it, if necessary, before coming to the first class. It looks like the only other item they will need is thread to match.
They will cut out the pattern in class. Kwik Sew are super basic patterns and are a good way to start learning to read pattern instructions.
Again, for any new people, they will need to know how to thread their machines. I can’t take time to help with it this time around, though I did spend time doing so last time.
They will still need the supplies from before–fabric scissors, pins, machine needles.
It looks like Michael’s and JoAnn Fabrics carries Kwik Sew patterns. You may want to post this supply information soon in case the patterns are not in stock and must be ordered. They may be able to get them on Amazon too, and should look at the back of the pattern for the type of fabric suggested.
